Pierce County Parent to Parent Program

Pierce County Parent to Parent, funded by Pierce County Human Services since 1983, provides emotional support and information on community resources for parents/caregivers who have a child with a disability or chronic health need. A Helping Parent Volunteer who has a child with similar needs, can assist families in coping with many challenging experiences and feeling and provide personal support. The Program Coordinator or Helping Parent can contact a family by phone, home visit or hospital visit.
