Program: Specialized Training of Military Parents (STOMP)
Description: This annual workshop is an extensive 4.5 day training established to strengthen teams so they can return to their installation to assist Military families that include individuals with disabilities. Participants will gain: Skills to develop and maintain effective parent support and information groups on local installations, advanced level training on Federal and Military Laws and Regulations, Skills in team dynamics,TRICARE and ECHO services and the strategies for accessing these resources,Skills in negotiation and mediation, Information on networking on resources within the civilian and military communities that assist families. Accessing decision makers at the installation and federal level. The team must contact their regional office to begin the application process no later than February 26, 2010. A completed application must be turned in by May 14, 2010.

PAVE's Parent Training an Information (PTI) program is recruiting regional Associate Board members in communities across Washington State. The PTI is looking for people on each Board to be representatives of various segments their community including parent, school personnel, service provider, community leaders and the business community.
Purpose of the regional Associate Boards:
Provide a voice for input from the local region
Help recruit volunteers
Help with events to raise funds for the PTI program
Provide a built in group of volunteers who can assist the PTI program with many tasks, such as providing letter of support, assisting on committees, helping as speakers or on panels, making phone calls, manning booths at events or activities, introducing PAVE to others, etc. there many benefits in becoming a member of the Pave Parent Training and Information Associate Board.

YATE is PAVE’s annual conference designed for individuals to gather valuable information pertaining to a person in their life who has a disability.
Keynote Speaker Roberto Rivera discusses how youth can redefine their labels and use them as their strengths. He talks about how he went from being a disengaged student in special education classes in high school to eventually graduating with honors at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This talk is guaranteed to help traditional and non-traditional learners define and redefine their strengths to demonstrate increased academic and social achievement.
